Not only will Capitol Debate students learn new skills through our programs; they will feel an increase in self-worth, learn critical thinking skills and improve public speaking and communication skills with their peers. Two weeks at camp will result in lifelong friendships and memories that will resonate with our students throughout their academic, personal and professional careers. Campers return to our program year after year because of how life-changing our Summer Debate Camps prove to be. Our parents will tell you themselves that they proudly stand by their investment in Capitol Debate because of the impact it has had on their families.
It's a great camp for kids to learn how to be independent and be responsible. My son had a great time at the debate camp, he not only learned a lot but also made a lot of friends! Kids can have both fun and learn how to debate at the same time.
This camp really helped me improve my debate experience. I feel like I walked out of this camp as a more confident, knowledgable and all together better person
Capitol Debate helped me since last year, and this year. I have learned so much, learning how to speak well, learning how to write cases well, and learning to be a team. I want to have a shoutout to Victor, as he is the greatest person!
Capitol Debate makes learning engaging and fun, which is the best of both worlds!
Great place to be introduced to the fundamentals of debate.
Capitol Debate offers kids just the right amount of fun and academics at camp! My daughter Natalie Gonzalez, loved everything about the camp.
Capitol Debate is not only an engaging, educational program, but it also is an amazingly fun camp. All the staff and campers were fun to be around, and we had a lot of time to bond with one another. I felt more confident as camp went on with myself as a public speaker or debater. I loved my experience at Capitol Debate, and there are memories from this camp that I never will forget.
At Capitol Debate Seton Hall, I was included and I wasn't left out. So many people there were kind and they took chances on strangers. It taught me to take a chance on strangers, to befriend as many people as I can, even if I'm in a competitive environment. It taught me to never let my negative judgements decide who I should befriend and who I should ignore.
Debate camp really changed my life. It turned my endless rambling into quality speech and overall made me just that much better of a person.
I have enjoyed working with Capitol debate and helping students, learn and grow to find their voice, or simply gaining a love for debate.
