Our parents will tell you themselves that they proudly stand by their investment in Capitol Debate because of the impact it has had on their families.
Attending this camp was valuable for my son not only for the debate experience but it has also helped him in his school classes such as English and Social Studies. Doing research on the debate topic was so beneficial.
I made it to the finals of my division and it was all possible because my instructor was so helpful and he was a great teacher. He gave my partner and I so much information on not only the topic, but how to be a good debater too. Capitol debate has definitely developed my speaking skills which is why I'd like to come back next year to learn even more.
Capitol debate let me develop my skills in not only the debate we were working with, but hollistically and to the point where I flourished in all sorts of events!
One of the best learning experiences. I truly had the summer of a lifetime.
My daughter enjoyed the camp as it provided instructions and activities during the day to build a strong foundation for debate and had tons of fun activities in the evening!!
Camp was really fun and the instructors taught us a lot about debate and how we can be more persuasive!
My debate and public speaking skills have increased so much over the course of twelve days, and even if I choose not to pursue debate in the near future, these basic fundamentals will still help out in my academic education.
Capitol Debate has helped me to succeed in public speaking and debate skills in general. I have become more comfortable in front of a crowd
Capitol debate builds the whole child : independent living, social skills development and academic strengthening
In the beginning of camp, I thought that Capital Debate would succeed as being one of the low-points of my summer. However, I was completely wrong. Capitol Debate turned out to be one of the highlights of my summer. I would definitely come back next year, and I would encourage anyone to come.
