With over 15 years of experience in running summer camps, Capitol Debate is gearing up to bring outstanding camps to students, parents and families for the Summer of 2024. We are so appreciative of our amazing customers' understanding and flexibility as we all worked together through very difficult times over the last 2 summers. We had the unique opportunity to receive feedback from parents about their hopes for their students. We listened and are we really excited to bring tremendous enhancements to our camps this summer including more emphasis in confidence building measures, teamwork, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and so much more. This is all in addition to our internationally renowned Public Speaking and Debate Curriculum!
Parents also asked for more flexibility combined with greater savings. We heard you. We have implemented changes to our registration process that provide our parents with peace of mind. Parents can now lock into amazing early bird savings without having to pay in full. Pay a deposit of $899 and you lock into the currently existing early bird prices. You can then spread out your payments over the remaining months through May 2024. Or you can pay in full as you have in the past and save an additional $100!
Parents were also concerned about what happens if camp is cancelled by our host campus because of COVID for summer 2024. Parents can still opt to roll over 105 percent credit to the following year. What is new is that we have added a provision that if a customer requires a financial refund instead of credit, Capitol Debate will refund money paid to Capitol Debate minus a 30% administrative fee. Deposit Protection Program
Full Payment was the only way in the past to catch our amazing early bird rates. Families have always appreciated these huge savings but wanted to spread their payments out throughout the year. All that is required is a $899 deposit upfront to lock into the current price and then make equal monthly payments through May 15 (number of payments dependent on when you register).
Flexible Cancellation Policy
We understand that families remain hesitant to make financial commitments now because of COVID. While effective planning requires us to maintain our long-standing no financial refund policy, linked below, we are implementing some changes to allow for more flexibility. We have extended the time parents can use credit up to 2 years, allow the transfer of credit to students outside of their immediate family, and guarantee admission into a Capitol Debate summer camp the following summer at no additional cost. Payment Plan Details
Families now have the option to opt for a payment plan instead of paying in full during checkout. Take advantage of our Summer Camps payment plan and spread your payments out. All that is required is a $899 deposit upfront to lock into the current price and then make equal monthly payments through May 15 (number of payments dependent on when you register) Payment plans do require families to agree to have their credit card automatically charged on specified dates. Families receive the current discounted price. The price will revert to full price if installment payments are not completed on the agreed dates.
Pay in Full & Save
Families will continue to have the option to pay-in-full during checkout. The significant advantage is that you save $100 off the camp's current price at checkout. As per our long-standing policy, the full payment is nonrefundable. However, families may still receive credit for other Capitol Debate programs, as stated in our cancellation policy. Whether you cancel or Capitol Debate must cancel, families may still receive up to 100 percent credit to be used at other camps or programs up to two years from the date the camp was scheduled to take place.
Catch the Big Early Bird Savings
Capitol Debate offers huge early bird savings for Families. If you register by January 31, you will save up to $700 off of the full price of residential/commuter camps or up to $300 off day camp or virtual summer camps. This year, families can lock into the early bird rates by paying just a deposit of $899 and then make equal monthly payments through May 15 (number of payments dependent on when you register). Your credit card will be charged on the 15th of each month.
Enjoy Flexibility
Sign up for any camp now and then opt to transfer to another camp of equal value at no additional cost (as long as that camp is not sold out and you opt to do this by May 15th. Plans change for Summer 2023? No worries! If you cancel by May 1, 2023, you receive 100 percent credit toward future programs (not a financial refund)! So feel confident in registering today!
