He then took a job at Glenbrook South High School in Glenview Illinois coaching Individual Events. He became the Director of Forensics at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois, where he coached Individual Events, Student Congress Public Forum, and Lincoln Douglas. He went on to become the Director of Speech and Debate at New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois. He moved to Florida 5 years ago to teach English and coach for University School in Fort Lauderdale before taking his current position at American Heritage. PJ has coached local, regional, state and national champions representing every one of the categories offered to speech and debate students. However, he looks beyond the trophies to the personal triumphs of each of his students. "Educating the whole person" is a phrase you will often hear him say and he strives every day to accomplish that task. PJ is pleased to be joining Capitol Debate and is excited to explore a format of debate that focuses on argumentation.
