Katelyn Applegate is a freshman at Florida State University where she is double majoring in Communication Sciences & Disorders and Nursing. In high school, she competed in Public Forum and is continuing her debate career in Parliamentary Debate at FSU. Some of her accomplishments in high school include being a finalist at FL Novice States and out rounds at Harvard and Florida Blue Key. Katelyn is very excited to continue her love and passion for debate through inspiring other individuals within the speech and debate community at Capitol Debate this summer!
About Capitol Debate
Our Summer Camp and Year-round programs have helped build students’ communication and critical thinking skills, thus leading to better academic performance at school. The curricula of Capitol Debate debate camps is aimed to equip children with the ability to structure arguments, prepare debate cases, research evidence, write rebuttal briefs, deliver speeches and refute opponents.
