Haley

Majoring in political science and pre-law at Emory University in the fall

Camp Counselor

After competing in Congressional debate on the local, state, and national circuit for four years, Haley has had a significant role as a competitor and teacher in speech and argumentation. As the former president of the Highland Park High School debate team, Haley has trained her team to not only be successful debaters, but also strong researchers and communicators. Haley will be majoring in political science and pre-law at Emory University in the fall.

Haley was a semifinalist at the Harvard National Tournament and Glenbrooks National Tournament and placed fifth in the Illinois Congressional Debate Association (ICDA) Tournament of Champions. Additionally, Haley was an Illinois High School Association (IHSA) debate Finalist, a member of the ICDA and IHSA All-State Team, a qualifier for the Tournament of Champions, and Eight-Time Illinois Congressional Debate Association First Place Speaker. Haley looks forward to continuing her mentorship of younger debaters and sparking their passion for speech and argumentation.

Furthermore, as an international marketing finalist and three-time international qualifier in the DECA business competition, Haley is excited to be involved in the Business Communication program alongside the debate camps.
